[What is BPPW] BPPW is BLOOD PRESSURE PLOTTER For WINDOWS. The program consists of 2 important windows. The Graph window and the Entry window. There are several Dialog windows. About, Re- gister, Open/Save As, and Help. ====================== [Menu Items] >File (alt+F) Open file menu + New (N) Clear existing data from memory for a new file. + Open (O) Open data file by opening Open Dialog Box to allow choosing a data file. + Print (P) Print graph. + Exit (X) Exit prorgram. > Data-In (alt+D) Opens Data Entry Window. > Graph (alt+G) + Day View (D) Graph shows actual readings for 7 days. + Week View (W) Graph shows 4 or 5 weeks of data. + Month View (M) Graph shows data for all the months in the file. > Help (alt+H) or (F1) + Index (I) This window. + About (A) shows About window. ====================== [Display Readings Options] >Actual (alt+A) Graphs actural readings, only used in Day View >Average (alt_V) Graphs the average readings for a week or month. Used in any view except Day View. >Minimum (alt+N) Graphs the minimum readings for a week or month. Used in any view except Day View. >Maximum (alt+X) Graphs the maximum readings for a week or month. Used in any view except Day View. ====================== [Day View] Procedure > Load data file Menu: File, Open (alt+F, O) Get File Name from Open Data File dialog, press OK. > Scan Weeks (up & down) + Tab until button label changes from red to green. Button is now active. + Left mouse button down or space bar down on active button, presses graphic button down on screen. + Release button/space bar will change data/graph to the previous/next week. ======================= [Week View] Procedure > Bring up Day View first. (see Day View Procedure) > Menu: Graph, Week View (alt+G, W) >Dialog Box: "You Need a Month Number". Enter number At the Month Of: > Now select: Average for weekly avg. Minimum for weekly min. Maximum for weekly max.

Note: slecting Actual will not display data or graph. ====================== [Graph Description] >Systolic.mmHg (high bp reading) Dark-blue Up pointing triangle. >Diastolic.mmHg (low bp reading) Green down pointing triagle. > Pulse../min Blue diamond. ======================= [How to Print a Graph] We can not print graphs directly. Instead the program sends pictures to MS Wind- ows "Write" program , which must be found in the windows path. After any number of graphs are sent, you may use write to save the data, create reports, and print-out hard copies of the result. To use: > Get the wanted graph on the screen. > Pull down the File Menu (alt+F) and select Print (P).
